IFPUG (International Function Point Users Group) has announced the appointment of Saurabh Saxena as the new President of the organization for the term from November 1, 2025, to October 31, 2027. Previously, Saurabh served as Vice President of IFPUG, in addition to his role as Service Manager and Senior Software Metrics Consultant at LedaMC.
Saurabh becomes the youngest president to lead the organization and stated that he assumes this role “with great honour and humility, fully aware of the responsibility to continue fostering collaboration and innovation in the field of software measurement.”
His journey with IFPUG began more than 13 years ago as a volunteer and has taken him through various roles, culminating in his position on the Board of Directors. “IFPUG is more than an association, it is a movement led by passionate minds who dare to innovate, unite, and grow” he said in his introductory message as the new president.
With more than 20 years of experience in the software industry, Saurabh is recognized for his continuous pursuit of excellence and improvement, as well as his genuine interest in sharing knowledge and learning from others. “I have seen firsthand how shared knowledge and open collaboration can transform not only organizations but also individuals,” he emphasized.
In addition to this significant appointment, we are pleased to announce that Julián Gómez, Chief Digital Officer at LedaMC, has been elected the new Vice President of IFPUG. He has served as Director of Communication, Marketing, and Partnerships for the past two years. His work has been instrumental in driving the international expansion of the functional measurement community and significantly promoting IFPUG’s international standards.
These two appointments further reinforce LedaMC’s leadership and presence in the world’s foremost forums for software metrics.
