A 20 years journey…

LedaMC helps its clients to increase the contribution of IT to the business, maximizing efficiency and quality in the creation of software products and thus improving the user experience.

Our route

  • 2003

    OUTSOURCING

Rafael de la Fuente founded LedaMC as a consulting firm focused on helping his clients in outsourcing processes. Open Bank (then Patagon), Bankinter and Telefónica Data are his clients from that first year, followed by Hispamer (today Santander Consumer Finance) and Caja Madrid (today Bankia).

  • 2006

    PRODUCTIVITY MANAGEMENT

We carried out our first project related to Development Productivity Management, which meant establishing the first steps of LedaMC’s current Productivity Management methodology. This activity was later consolidated with the incorporation of such significant clients as Telefónica, Vodafone and Mapfre.

  • 2007

    OPTIMIZED TESTING MODELS

The implementation of Optimized Testing Models started in 2007 by BBVA and Iberia. The novelty of our approach, which allows us to anticipate the testware of development projects and control the process quantitatively, has led to the addition of Adif, Endesa and Verti, among others.

  • 2009

    BENCHMARKING

An ambitious Productivity Benchmarking was presented at the British Software Metrics Conference in order to highlight the incongruences of managing development activities on an effort basis, rather than focusing on production. This benchmarking will be updated every year and has been presented at various conferences around the world.

  • 2012

    IT GOVERNANCE

This year LedaMC’s solutions are unified under a single concept: Production-based IT Governance that links development, testing and quality.

  • 2013

    METHODOLOGICAL CONSOLIDATION

New methodologies and applications for Project Estimates are presented to the market. We also consolidate a structure of solutions for the software development with an approach based on the quantity and quality of the product developed.

  • 2015

    INTERNATIONALIZATION

Our international expansion begins, with projects, mainly benchmarkings, in Latin America, USA and several European countries. LedaMC’s Benchmarking Database reaches 30,000 projects.

  • 2017

    DIGITAL TRANSITION

This year LedaMC accompanies its clients in the move towards agile methodologies and the digital transition, integrating these concepts in the different LedaMC tools, the Productivity and Quality Dashboards, the Project Estimators, and the Benchmarking Database.

  • 2018

QUANTER IS RELEASED ON THE MARKET

We launch our most ambitious project, Quanter. An estimator of efforts, costs and testware. LedaMC consolidates itself as the first actor in the field of software development productivity management.

  • 2019

    INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Quanter starts to travel around Europe with the help of alliances established with partners such as DPO in Italy or IP by Green (Christine Green, president of IFPUG) in Denmark. Quanter begins to be implemented in international clients, reaching Mexico, Belgium, Italy and the USA.

  • 2020

    FIRST CERTIFIED WORLDWIDE IN BENCHMARKING

LedaMC is positioned as the first company in the world to be awarded the Application Development & Maintenance Benchmarking Certification granted by IFPUG to companies that comply with the best benchmarking standards for software development projects, thus endorsing the good practices used and the results obtained.

  • 2022

PUBLICATION OF THE FIRST SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MARKET REPORT

LedaMC published the first Software Development Market Report, including information on which suppliers are the most expensive and which are the most productive, which technologies are the most expensive, which are the cheapest, which are the most productive, etc. It was very well received by leading figures in the sector.
