IFPUG (International Function Point Users Group) has announced the appointment of Julián Gómez as Director of Communications and Marketing. Julián, MarCom Manager at LedaMC, previously chaired IFPUG’s Communication and Marketing Committee and will assume his new role as of 1 November 2023, for a three-year term.
The announcement was made public during IFPUG’s annual Members’ meeting on 16 October, following votes taken by the organisation’s own members.
In this new role Julian will be responsible for implementing the vision defined by the IFPUG Board in these areas. His focus will be on driving the growth of the software functional measurement community around function point and SNAP point standards, bringing significant value to both the IT sector and the business sector.
Julian Gomez’s start date will be the 1st of November 2023, and his term of office will be three years. He assumes this new responsibility following his role as Chair of the Communications and Marketing Committee at IFPUG, where he has already demonstrated his commitment and understanding of the needs of the functional measurement community.
This appointment represents an important milestone for both Julian Gomez and LedaMC. IFPUG is the leading organisation in the software functional measurement industry, and its function point standard is widely recognised and used worldwide. And this appointment reinforces LedaMC’s presence in IFPUG’s Board of Directors, where Dácil Castelo, CEO of LedaMC, also served several terms as Director of Measurement Standards.
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our colleague on his appointment, confident that Julián will assume these new functions with the enthusiasm and commitment that characterise him.
