About IFPUG’s Function Points Certification Workshop

In this workshop, you will deepen your understanding of Function Point Analysis (FPA) concepts and techniques to measure the software size of Development and Maintenance Projects and Information Systems Applications.

You will be able to take the IFPUG CFPS certification exam with a solid theoretical knowledge of the methodology and with practical examples that will help you to better understand it.

The course will be based on three pillars: theory, practice and exam simulation. Throughout the course, attendees will carry out multiple didactic practical examples to understand the different steps of the methodology, which will be discussed and resolved.

In the penultimate session, a 3-hour simulation of the certification exam will take place, just like the real exam. In the last session, the results obtained in the exam will be reviewed and help and advice will be given on how to take the exam.

Prerequisites

As the aim of the workshop is to present for certification, it is recommended that people who are already familiar with the methodology and are already estimating using the method attend the workshop. Otherwise, it is more appropriate to start with the Function Points course from scratch.
